The annual kayak raffle draw was made on Wednesday, August 31 at 3:30 p.m. on the Museum grounds. Tickets were selling like hot cakes right up until the final moments. A crowd of interested people collected, each one hoping that theirs would be the lucky ticket drawn. A volunteer who didn’t have a ticket in the draw came forward to pull the winning ticket from the tumble drum. Congratulations to Ali Fairbrother of Saskatoon, the lucky winner. May you have many happy hours paddling your new kayak.
Thanks to everyone who supported the Museum by purchasing tickets. The raffle and weekly community bingo are the main fund raisers that keep the museum operating. Many thanks to Ione and Herve Langlois for all their work on the raffle.
