While you are enjoying the music on the Lakeside Festival grounds this weekend, come and find the Waskesiu Heritage Museum’s booth.
We’ll have tasty treats for sale!
Children can make grandma’s version of a fidget spinner, a button spinner.
You can try on one of our artifacts – a Cowichan or siwash sweater. These sweaters were so common in past days that they were nicknamed the Waskesiu Tuxedo.
Mitchell Jones will be demonstrating how he makes fishing lures. In the tradition of Grandpa Van Imp and Roscoe Ritchie who made plugs from curing broom handles, Mitchell makes and sells usable jigs and lures from various materials. Pick up a new hook to try to catch your supper.
